some unknowns

i find this series very intriguing

that's the back of my grandpa's head in 1 + 2

which means my grandma was the photographer (coulda guessed that)

anyone know who their company was?

this is my great grandfather--father of Barbara Buckingham Gerus.

Dr. Frank McKinley Buckingham was the town doctor in Tidioute, Pennsylvania (which, if I were asked, I would name to people as my homeland)

He is very fondly remembered by all old enough to have known him.

There's a street named for him!

Anybody have an idea where this was taken?  It's from April of 1972, according to the date on the photo.

i came across this photo with the name "Mickail" written on the back.  anyone claim him?

1.  i would guess he was about 14 here

2.  my mom thinks this photo is from when they were living in El Paso.  

I'm not sure who the other man in the photo is.

3.  written on the back of this photo, by my grandmother, was "H. Gerus just before we left Honolulu to go to Japan, 3/15/51"

4. my mom thinks this is the green Oldsmobile she remembers from her early years.

there was some faint writing on the back which included the year 1951.

5 + 6 + 7.  handsome gent, but i don't know where or why these photos were taken.

all of these feature my mama (Wendie Gerus) and her two younger sisters (Leslie Gerus + Lorri Monetti)

1.  at first i was pretty sure this was 9 scott st, but i'm not totally sure

2 + 3.  i would have guessed these both were also in tidioute

leslie commented on the dresses they were wearing, that they were store-bought which was a rarity as my grandma was a whiz with a sewing machine.

4 + 5.  anyone recognize that couch?

leslie explained that later that same day, she and my mom (wendie) saw santa walking down the street!

1. That nativity scene was always out at Christmas time at my Grandparents' house.

i brought a basket from my parents' house back to my house in athens yesterday and it mostly has gerus family photos from various different dates.  to start things off...
